1. You're playing a guessing game and you get stuck because you can't figure out the answer. Do you keep trying to guess even if you don't have any clues?
*
No, I give up because I get bored and move on to something else.
I try a couple more times and ask for more clues or help.
I keep trying until I get it right.
2. Your parents keep telling you to clean your room, which is often full of clothes, books, or toys that aren't in their place. What do you do?
*
Nunca lo hago porque es muy aburrido. Prefiero que me castiguen
Lo hago, pero después de un rato. Prefiero evitarlo si puedo.
Siempre lo hago aunque no me lo digan.
3. You’ve seen it on social media, or someone tells you they’re giving away tickets for an amazing trip right around the corner from your neighborhood. What do you do?
*
I rush over before they run out.
I do some thorough research before I go.
I don’t believe it. Nobody gives away free trips… There must be a catch.
4. You're putting together a puzzle that took you a lot of effort, and just when you only have a few pieces left, your brother or sister throws a ball at you and destroys the whole thing. What do you do?
*
I try again without getting too upset.
I get angry, but then I calm down and start over.
I finish ruining the whole thing and go after my brother/sister to scold them.
5. A field trip is being planned, and you're in charge of coming up with the most fun ideas. Once you've planned everything and want to explain it:
*
I explain it clearly, and everyone gets on board.
Me enredo cuando lo estoy contando y no puedo explicarlo bien.
I get nervous and would rather have someone else explain it.
6. You're working in a group and you have an idea, but it's different from what the others are doing. What do you do?
*
I explain my point of view and listen to what others have to say so we can reach an agreement.
I try to share my idea, but if I see that no one is paying attention, I quickly decide to keep quiet.
I prefer not to say anything and just go along with whatever the majority decides.
7. You're baking a strawberry cake when suddenly you realize that… Someone has eaten the strawberries. What do you do?
*
It is no big deal; they were probably hungry. I’ll look for raspberries, bananas, and make the cake with whatever I find in the fridge.
I get frustrated but keep going only if someone offers to go get more strawberries.
Well, nothing. I won’t make it. If it’s a strawberry cake and there are no strawberries, it’s impossible.
8. You’re asked to design a digital solution (such as an app or a video) to solve a problem in your neighborhood or school.
*
I’m excited! I feel that with the right tools, I can create something useful.
I’m interested, but I’m worried I won’t know how to use the necessary technology.
I think that’s something very advanced that only experts or adults can do.
9. Do you think you could program a video game or an animated short film where you come up with the story, the challenges, the scoring, the programming—everything?
*
Ugh… that sounds really hard. You’d need to know how to program for that.
I can give it a try.
10. Do you think you can fix a small problem at home, at school, or in your neighborhood?
*
No way… That’s for grown-ups to handle
I can give it a try
